The C20LET is a General Motors engine. It is a turbo-charged, 1998 cc (2.0L) 16 valve, DOHC inline 4 cylinder engine producing 150 kW (204 PS).
The C20LET engine was introduced in 1992, in the forms of the Vauxhall/Opel Cavalier Turbo and Calibra Turbo. It is similar to the C20XE, apart from the primary addition of a KKK-16 turbocharger, forged 86mm pistons manufactured by Mahle GmbH and a Bosch Motronic 2.7 ECU. From the factory, the engine produces 204ps (150kW), and 206.5lbf/ft (280Nm) of torque. [1]
The engine was commonly coupled to a six speed F28 gearbox, and a 4x4 transfer box system. Today, the engine can is a popular choice for engine swaps, along with the 2 litre C20XE, and the 2.5 and 3.0 litre V6 C25XE/C30XE and can be found in many other GM variants, as it is a very straight forward 'lego swap' modification with the correct tools.
Engine Code - The break down of the engine name [2] is as follows:
C - Exhaust Emissions Level: ECE R 83 A (like R 15.04)
20 - Engine Capacity - 2.0L
L - Compression Ratio - 8.5 to 9.0
E - Mixture System - Multi-point fuel-injection
T - Induction - Turbocharger
