The C25XE is a Family II, General Motors engine. It is a 2498 cc (2.5L), DOHC 24 valve, 'V' configuration, 6 cylinder engine producing 170bhp. It is commonly found in the larger of the GM range of cars - including the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra, Calibra, Cavalier and Omega. [1]

A special edition of the engine was worked by MSD (Motor Sports Developments based in Milton Keynes in England, UK), which includes reprofiled camshafts, giving the engine a boost of 24bhp. This engine appeared in the special edition MSD Vectra GSi's. [2]
