Pontiac Assembly Center, also known as Pontiac East Assembly, is an automobile factory operated by General Motors.
Detroit Assembly (also known as Detroit Cadillac or Clark Street Assembly) was a General Motors automobile factory in Detroit, Michigan. Originally opened as Cadillac Fleetwood Assembly in 1921, the factory produced Cadillacs and closed on December 23, 1987, whereupon production of Cadillac's D-bodies moved to Arlington Assembly in Texas. From 1984 to 1987 the plant also built the Oldsmobile 88 and Custom Cruiser, and the Chevrolet Caprice and Impala.
It is located at 2100 South Opdyke Road in Pontiac, Michigan.

The factory opened in 1972 for the production of medium-duty pickup trucks and became part of the Truck & Bus Group ten years later. In 1985 medium-duty truck production was consolidated with heavy-duty truck production, and the plant was renovated and re-tooled to produce full-size pickups. Floor space amounting to 712000 sqft was added, including a second floor that houses the paint facility. Production of full-size pickups began in December 1986. The plant continues to produce the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks.
Detroit Assembly used the VIN codes "Q" and "9."
