The GM '''G-Series''' ([[rear wheel drive]]) and '''H-Series''' ([[all wheel drive]]) vans, the '''Chevrolet Express''' and the '''GMC Savana''', are full-size [[van]]s from [[General Motors]]. They replaced the [[GMC Vandura]] and [[Chevrolet Van]] in 1996. The Express and Savana currently hold 44.8% of the full-size van market in the United States, just behind rival [[Ford Motor Company|Ford]]'s [[Ford E-Series|E-Series]]. The Express outsells the Savana by more than 3 to 1.


After 2003, the Express and Savana had updated sheetmetal similar to the GMT800 light trucks and SUVs, and at the same time, fitted with the LS engines. In 2004 Stability Control (Stabilitrak) was added to all passenger vans.  In 2008 the interior was updated and side impact roof airbags were standard on all passenger models. They also offer the [[E85]] [[Flexfuel]] Vortec 5.3L V8 engine in both the 2008 Express 1500 Work Van and Passenger Van. The 6.6L [[Duramax]] Diesel [[V8]] was added as an option for 2006.
The '''[[Chevrolet]] Colorado''' and its counterpart, the '''[[GMC (automobile)|GMC]] Canyon''', are [[General Motors]]' mid-size [[pickup truck]]s introduced in 2004 to replace the [[Chevrolet S-10]] and [[GMC Sonoma]]. [[Isuzu]], which participated in the design the truck, began selling a version of the truck in late 2005 named the [[Isuzu i-Series|"i-Series"]]. The Chevrolet Colorado was jointly designed by GM's North American operations, GM's [[Brazil]] operations, and Isuzu, based on the [[GM GMT platform#GMT355|GMT355]], itself the basis for the GMT 345-based [[Hummer H3]]. The vehicles are manufactured and produced at a GM plant in [[Rayong]], [[Thailand]], and in [[Shreveport Operations|Shreveport, Louisiana]].


The cargo variety of the Express/Savana is popular as a work vehicle, often used by [[electrician]]s, [[plumber]]s, and others needing to haul a variety of large items. In this way, it is the North American equivalent of the ubiquitous [[white van man|white vans]] in the [[United Kingdom|UK]].

The Colorado/Canyon offer both [[Manual transmission|manual]] and [[automatic transmission]]s. GM also offers either a [[rear-wheel drive]] or [[four-wheel drive]] drivetrain with standard, extended, and four-door crew cab bodystyles. Most models come with the {{Auto cc|2770}} [[GM Atlas engine#LK5|LK5]] I4 engine as standard, but a more powerful {{Auto cc|3460}} [[GM Atlas engine#L52|L52]] Straight-5 comes with the Z71 package on 4-door versions and is optional on all others. The 4-door Z71s also get the 4-speed automatic transmission standard. This package was later dropped in favor of LT2 and LT3.


The Express/Savana is also available as a passenger van, seating 8 to 15 passengers (depending on the model), and is often used as a very capable [[tow vehicle]], [[ambulance]] or as a [[shuttle bus]].
A ZQ8 edition is available with a lower and more road-tuned "sport" suspension than the standard Z85 and comes with 17&nbsp;inch wheels, color-matched bumper and grille, and low profile fender flares. There is also a Xtreme edition of the ZQ8 which has a different front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, fender flares, grille, headlights, and 18 inch wheels.  The Xtreme edition is basically a continuation of a trim package from its predecessor, the [[Chevrolet S-10]].


Both the cargo and passenger models, as well as [[cutaway van|cutaway]] versions often serve as the basis for [[conversion van]]s and [[motorhome]]s.
For 2007, Colorado/Canyons offer new engines, which include the {{Auto cc|2923}} [[GM Atlas engine#LLV|LLV]] [[Straight-4|I4]] and {{Auto cc|3653}} [[GM Atlas engine#L5R|L5R]] [[Straight-5|I5]], new colors&nbsp;— Deep Ruby (Sonoma Red for the Canyon), Pace Blue (Sport Blue for the Canyon) and Imperial Blue (Midnight Blue for the Canyon), and new tires and wheels.


There was a limited edition model of the Chevy Express passenger variety, named the LT. This type was a GM factory made conversion that included a [[Bose Corporation|Bose]] sound system, two flip down flat panel [[television]] monitors, a [[VCR]], [[leather]] seats, [[aluminum]] wheels, extra trim, and an advanced [[General Motors Corporation|GM]] stereo system with [[compact disc|CD]] and cassette.  This model was discontinued around the year 2003 and was meant as a trial sale.
Colorado/Canyon U.S. sales peaked in 2005 at 163,204 units, surpassing the perennial segment leader, the [[Ford Ranger]], by almost 35% and just 3.3% behind the new best-seller, the [[Toyota Tacoma]]. In 2006, however, while still leading the Ford pickup by 27.5%, Colorado/Canyon's sales lagged their [[Toyota]] competitor's by almost 34%.

Despite crew cabs being limited to LT trims which most other Chevrolet vehicles only offer front bucket seating with the trim; the LT crew cabs are the only trims of the Colorado to have 6-passenger seating (i.e. with front bench seating).
